HI THERE, I’M MICHAEL.

I’m a leadership coach with deep expertise in scaling companies, building operations, and developing the human skills that create healthy organizations and effective teams. My superpower is blending intuition with analysis—navigating seamlessly between strategic thinking and detailed execution.

For five years, I led the Corporate Services function at the Hudson Institute of Coaching, consulting with organizations of all sizes—from startups to Fortune 10 companies. I advised CHROs and Talent Development leaders on talent strategies, reshaped cultures, and facilitated transformative learning experiences

Before Hudson, I spent a decade in Learning & Development, Employee Experience, and People Operations at hyper-growth tech companies like Facebook, Intercom, and Stripe. At Stripe, I was Head of Manager and Leadership Effectiveness and Coaching Programs, where I designed high-impact leadership programs that scaled alongside the company’s growth. Earlier in my career, I worked as an auditor and consultant at PwC and a regional accountancy. This shift to human-centered leadership was driven by my desire to create more meaningful experiences for the people who power organizations.

My perspective is shaped by a transformative personal journey. Growing up in a cult and later integrating into mainstream society taught me resilience, balance, and the art of navigating change. It’s this experience that has influenced my approach to leadership—seeing people as whole individuals, not just cogs in a machine.

I hold an MBA from Berkeley Haas, an MS in Accounting, and several HR and leadership development certifications. I’m also a certified coach with Hudson and the International Coaching Federation. (Fun fact: I passed the CPA exam in 2007!)

Running recharges me—I’ve completed 20 marathons, including a run across the Grand Canyon. I also maintain a regular meditation and yoga practice. My wife and I live our dream in Santa Barbara with our daughter and two rescue pups.
